     Hope everyone had fun this weekend and had a good time watching the Super Bowl if you watched it.... um of course you did!  Even if you don't like football you've gotta watch it just for the commercials!  Looks like the Patriots held on to this Super Bowl for the second time in three years.  The Patriots won by a field goal scored in the last 30 seconds of the game!

     Anyhow... enough football!!... I'll be working on the registration form tonight and have the form up as soon as possible.  Once completed, the registration form will be up immediately after the date is determined for future LGC events and you won't have to wait on me!

     I've finally gotten the new website just about completed.  As you can tell there has been just a bit of a face change with this update!  Hope everyone likes the new site and if you experience any problems or have suggestions let us know!

     There are a few pages that will still be getting developed for the next week or two and a few cosmetic changes as well.  The site should now be much easier to browse and quicker to load as well as much easier to find out information on what you're looking for.  Enjoy!

     We about have the flyers finished now for the next LAN Party.  I'll be sending them out to each person that attended the last event.  If you want additional copies to give out let me know and I'll be glad to include more for you to distribute, just let me know how many extra you will need.  I'll also be posting the flyer here on the site soon to view.

     There is a staff meeting Thursday night at 8pm (01/22/2004).  If you would like to attend and have any thoughts/ideas you would like to voice or to just sit in on the discussion please feel free to attend!  Directions can be found here.  We will all be chipping in and ordering some pizza during the meeting to feed our enormous brains!

     If you gamers out there know of any newer aerial combat type games or any ground vehicular combat games that are "LAN Party material" shoot me an email and let me know about them.  We are currently researching some different type games to include in our list for future LAN parties.

     The LANicide website will be going through some changes over the next few weeks, We will be changing the look, adding more features, etc... so please be patient while we work on this.  If you have any suggestions for the site please send an email to: website@lanicide.com and tell us your thoughts.

     The date for LANicide v2.0 has been rescheduled for March 6th, 2004.  Unfortunately our location was "booked" for the March 20th date.  We will have the registration posted and live by the end of January so check back often if you want to register for the event.  We have also setup a PayPal account for pre-payment to LANicide v2.0.  We will be adding this option on the site during the next few weeks of updating.

     Well yet another year passes as we make our way into 2004.  I hope everyone stayed safe and no one partied too hard for New Years! ;)  We will be discussing and also  determining a date this week for the March LANicide event.  I'll keep everyone posted on what we've discussed or decided for the next event.  If you would like to help out with the next LANicide make sure to contact us.  Any help is appreciated.

     The survey form is now complete.  Notice when you click on the registration button um... well, there is no registration right now ;)  However to get to the survey  please click the registration button and register for the LANicide website.  I will approve the form ASAP.  Once your registration and verification is complete you should not have to register for anything on the site again (yes I know you're thinking dang, I have to register again for the 142nd time!? ..... Sorry this should be it!).  I will be migrating much of the site to here (questionnaires, surveys, message board etc...) and this should make "things" much easier for the future.

     I'll be posting the stats from the tournament today or tomorrow so check back if you are interested.  It will have everyone listed not just the tournament champs.  I'll start keeping up with stats for the tournaments held for reference, good or bad!

     Well, I hope all you Lord of the Rings enthusiasts have seen Return of the King by now (LOTR-ROTK).  If not, you are missing out!  I saw the movie last night and I must say it was awesome!  Peter Jackson and his crew did a great job especially having to squeeze a multitude of information down into a three hour movie!  Sorry just had to add my two cents worth ;)  Anyhow, go see it!

     Well, LANicide v1.0 is over and It seems everything went well for the first event!  Once I catch up on some sleep...Zzzzzz,  I'll be posting pictures and I'll have the stats from the UT2003 tournament posted.  Congrats' to Brett (evansbr1) for winning First Place and taking home a Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS!!!  There has been a unanimous vote to ban Brett from future events! ;)  Also congrats' to Dale (FunkyMunky) for the Second Place prize and Kip (Physician) for the Third Place prize. 

     I'll be deciding soon on a date for the next LANicide (mid-March?) and I'll make sure to have the registration up well before the event.  There will be a questionnaire up soon so please take a few moments when the form is posted to fill it out and let us know your thoughts.  In the meantime keep checking the message board forums!  I'll be posting again soon so check back often!!!
